Living in Europe has taught me numerous things, and has opened many doors.
Although I considered myself a "treehugger" when I lived in Florida, I never understood how loaded that word was. Looking back I hardly did anything to support a sustainable lifestyle, mostly because I knew of none which existed. Now I'm all about DIY, cloth menstrual pads, being against animal cruelty, vegetarianism, gardening, recycling, sewing, etc. It's amazing how much a year and a half can change your life forever.
I've had the opportunity to see some of the things people don't get to see for their whole lives, and I get to immerse myself it in every day. I am really thankful for everything my parents have done for me, even when it was "against my will" and I was "going to run away" when they told me.
I will be 18 next Saturday, and I will be moving to Florida solo in January. I'm excited, scared, thankful, and anxious.
